Short summary of the job: The LMS & SMS specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Learning Management System. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation, providing technical support to users, and collaborating with stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities

System Administration:

-Install, configure, and maintain the platform for users.

-Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.

-Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.

-Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.

-Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts.

User Support:

-Provide technical support to learners, instructors, and administrators.

-Develop and maintain user guides and training materials.

-Conduct training sessions for users on LMS functionality.

-Respond to user inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

-Generate and analyze reports on user activity, course completion, and performance.

-Track and monitor learning progress and identify areas for improvement.

-Provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.


Must Have

-Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.

-Experience with specific LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).

-Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of LMS platforms and related technologies, proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and knowledge of web technologies and database management.

-Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

-Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical problems efficiently and strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively and strong attention to detail.

-Ability to provide excellent customer support to users.
