Responsibilities

  Leadership and Management: 

Provide strong and effective leadership for the teachers and teaching assistants within the designated stage.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting professional growth and shared best practices.

Lead regular stage meetings, ensuring effective communication and information sharing.

Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.

  Teaching and Learning: 

Monitor the quality of teaching and learning within the stage, ensuring alignment with the school's curriculum and standards.

Support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging and differentiated lessons.

Analyze student data to identify trends, set targets, and implement appropriate interventions.

Lead curriculum development and review within the stage, in collaboration with subject leaders.

Promote innovative teaching methodologies and the effective use of technology to enhance learning.

  Student Well-being: 

Oversee well-being of all students within the stage, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Work closely with form tutors/advisors to monitor student progress, attendance, and behavior.

Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, working with relevant support staff.

  Communication and Collaboration: 

Maintain effective communication with parents through meetings, reports, and other channels.

Collaborate effectively with other Stage Heads, subject leaders, and the senior leadership team.

Represent the stage at school events and meetings.

  Professional Development: 

Identify and support the professional development needs of staff within the stage.

Participate in relevant professional development opportunities to enhance leadership skills.

Keep abreast of current educational trends and best practices.
